DETOUR

Road construction ending in the early part of February on Vernal Pike and Crescent Rd has detoured Route 2 as follows:

From 11th St. right on Illinois, left on 12th, right on Lindbergh to 15th St. resuming the normal route. Bus stops on Cresent Rd and at Arlington Park Apartments are closed.

Beginning Monday, January 16 BT will operate Route 2 West on a detour route to provide service at Arlington Park Apartments.  During this detour BT will be unable to serve the bus stops at 7-11 and at the corner of 11th and Adams.  BT buses will make a single stop near the Arlington Park office.  We expect to return to normal routing approximately February 10th.

Route 2 Kroger/Seminary Square

Service Change

Effective Monday, August 29,2011

Effective Monday, August 29, 2011, Route 2 will no longer operate in the Kroger/Seminary Square Shopping Center parking lot.  Instead, Route 2 will service Kroger/Seminary Square in the outbound direction (headed to S.Rogers) at the new shelter on College Avenue adjacent to the shopping center parking lot.  The route will then go south on College to right (west) on 1st Street, to left (south) on S.Rogers and then resuming the regular route.  In the inbound (headed to downtown) direction, Route 2 will service Kroger/Seminary Square from a bus stop on Morton Street near the front entrance of Kroger and next to the B-Line Trail.  From there the inbound Route 2 will go right (east) onto 2nd Street and then resume its regular route.

This service change will help Route 2 stay on schedule and make timely connections to other routes downtown.  Persons using Route 2 going to Bloomington Hospital should get off at the new bus stop on 1st and S.Rogers Street.  Persons coming from Bloomington Hospital headed to downtown on Route 2 can board at the northbound bus stop at S.Rogers and 1st Street   Route 4 Bloomfield Road will continue to provide hourly service to and from Bloomington Hospital on 2nd Street with no changes to this route.
