Special Fares and Passes

Effective January 7, 2008

Special Fares are offered to senior citizens, students enrolled in grades K-12, and persons with disabilities eligible for assistance from the Social Security Administration or from the Medicare program. Payment by special fare requires presentation of a BT-issued picture or student ID card to the bus driver. Any patron not presenting an ID card will be required to pay the regular fare. No refunds will be given. 

ID cards are available at the Bloomington Transit office Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm. Passes are for sale Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm call for weekend availability, 130 West Grimes Lane, Bloomington, IN 47403, (812) 336-7433, (812) 330-7853 (TDD). 

Senior Citizens (60 and over with BT-issued ID card required)	$0.50
Children (grades K – 12 with BT-issued ID card required)	$0.50
Persons with disabilities (BT-issued ID card required)	$0.50
Children under 5 (with supervision)	FREE
Reduced Fare Monthly Pass (BT-issued ID card required)	$15.00
Reduced Fare Ten Ride Tickets (BT-issued ID card required)	$5.00
